I worked rotating 4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts for years. If you get the job done that’s all that matters.

Try living the farm and ranch life! The only time you get off was Sunday mornings for church. Winters were breaking ice 2 times a day when it was well below 0 for cattle to drink (mornings and afternoons). Not just 1 or 2 water tanks, but 30 as some pastures had 2 tanks. Do I miss those days....................hell yes I do for tons of reasons! When you're 5yo and you have to saddle your own horse at 5am, get to the back side of a pasture for gathering cattle on a 4-6,000 acre pasture at the break of dawn, work till noon, eat lunch, go back and work till dark, rinse and repeat for 2 weeks. By day 3 I could barely get out of bed to saddle my horse. I have 2 complaints in life..........1..my neighbors, 2....living in pain.

4/10 work week is great. Don't need to burn ETO for doctor appointments, other things that can only be done during a customary work day.
Had Wednesday off at one point in time, really enjoyed it. Yeah I'm two "Mondays" but two "Fridays" as well. I looked at it as two day work week.

Yes, before the US adopted labour laws, it was common a work week was 6/7 days and 12/14 hrs a day and pay was crap.
Fast forward: How many have seen a "Help wanted" sign and it says, "someone who shows up for work"
