My suggestion is to talk to the manufacturer of the gun and ask if it will except an aftermarket barrel as well as if that particular gun will support the recoil.

I think if most manufacturers thought it would work well, you'd see 10mm barrels listed as an option. But the fact that you don't probably means it won't work. Good excuse to buy a bigger pistol!

The breach-face on a .45 ACP is larger than base of 10mm, so after some research the general consensus is that there's no easy conversion from .45 ACP to 10mm Auto, so you'd need a whole new upper assembly to start with. There are some work arounds, but it would be more cost effective to purchase a 10mm pistol.

Plus you would more then likely have to change the extractor, recoil springs, and possibly the ejector. It’s not just a barrel change, there are other factors

I agree with the above - talk to manufacturer. Ask if your warranty will be voided also ( assuming it's still in effect).

But personally? I wouldn’t try it at all.
