That’s alright, we’re all use to you and your “red herrings” here on this forumI'm going to look more into this topic so I don't jump the gun and speak out of context again on this.

6.5CM will have less drop at those distances, but .308 is very capable of getting hits at that half-mile (give or take) zone.800 - 1000 meters
yes. On 8/6 Faxon released a sentinel model of the 8.6
I've got about 300 rounds of 6.5 Creedmoor on hand that I bought before the Covid shortages and I've only probably fired one box since then because of the scarcity of the round currently. Prior to Covid 6.5 Creedmoor was readily available for the same cost as .308 now if you can find it it's usually running about $8.00 or more per box compared to .3086.5CM will have less drop at those distances, but .308 is very capable of getting hits at that half-mile (give or take) zone.
FWIW, I recently sold my 6.5CM Savage Stealth to get a Sig Cross .308, mainly because 6.5 was hard to find.
Yes, I watched it the other day and it got me thinking too. I have a .300 blackout and now it has a daddy. LolI watched Gun Talk’s Ryan Gresham interview a Faxon Rep about their involvement with Q on the 8.6 and them starting to manufacture complete firearms for it. It was an extremely interesting topic that got my interest.
I've seen it in an ar15 rifle, but with another search the max cartridge length of 2.490". That was weird? Maybe it's good for both platforms? The 8.6 Blackout is a AR/LR-10 platform rifle as it uses a 6.5 Creedmoor case. This is the reason why it's referred as both the 8.6BLK and 8.6 Creedmoor.
