How do you EMP proof a red dot/RMR?Hello all, here is today's article posted on TheArmoryLife.com. It is titled EMP-Proofing Survival Gear and can be found at https://www.thearmorylife.com/emp-proofing-survival-gear/.
Yup, several articles I read on the subject, mentioned ammo cans, aluminum foil, metal trash cans, etc., will keep out an EMP. They talked about the size of the EMP wave length and the corresponding thickness of the aluminum foil to work, so some research is prudent. Articles will explain how thick foil must be or how fine wire mesh must be. etc. Apparently, one size doesn't fit all, but a lot of materials and common items will work.Need to verify it but the military ammo cans should be able to keep the EMP out.
Good concern, mine too. Any ideas yet???One thing to bear in mind. In the event of an EMP, can you get into your gun safe (if it has an electronic keypad)? I know mine doesn't have a manual key override, so suspect I won't be able to get into it, with no chance of googling how to become a safe cracker!

You know, I never gave that a thought........Good concern, mine too. Any ideas yet???
Electronic ignition, starter solinoid, alternatorMy 1977 Ford will drive just fine.
No electronics on the engine
From my understanding on everything I have read on EMP, pre 80’s vehicles will operate just fine based on their electronic buildElectronic ignition, starter solinoid, alternator
Was just wondering on those itemsFrom my understanding on everything I have read on EMP, pre 80’s vehicles will operate just fine based on their electronic build
Ways to bypass easier than post ‘80s vehicles
Some 90's era vehicles had they same simple electronics.Electronic ignition, starter solinoid, alternator
