I tried one years ago. I didn't like it. The checkering is too sharp and wants to bite into your hand. I also had problems with it moving around under recoil. It didn't last long.
i just ordered a few, for my 1911's that don't already have front checkering. for the price, worth a shot.Talon Grips

You can get it on Amazon for like $16 with Prime Shipping. Cheaper than paying shipping on WilsonI am planning on trying one; I'm just waiting until I either place another order with Wilson, I get to a gunshow where someone has them or or a stainless one comes up for sale cheap. I am in no hurry. I would rather try one of these before going the checkering route as it's reversible. I just don't care for the grit tape look.

Makese sense to me.Thank you for the info; I saw that. I am a little on the cheap side and if I wait until I am making an order to Wilson anyway it'll only cost $10. I am in no hurry at all so why spend an extra $6?
Currently with any purchase at Wilson they throw in a bottle of their Ultima II Lite Oil. It's good stuff. Sells normally for about $13.Thank you for the info; I saw that.
