Dad and I went and did a fly in fishing trip in Canada about 50 years ago. Drove up until the road ended way way up and then took a plane in to the lake. God i wish I could remember the name of that town. I remember they had the high school in a mall. Going to have to try and figure where thst was now that I an thinking of it.

Don't remember the places name but the time out at that lake was magic to a 15 yo with his hero ..

Took my dad to Henry's Fork Idaho a couple years ago. His favorite place in the world though is Ennis Montana on the Madison River.

If you get a chance and drive to marathon not far maybe a less than an hour back towards Miami because if you are at the keys it’s the southern most you go . Anyway this is called Frank’s grill in marathon best best Italian food ever try it bass bob and congratulations

Thanks brother. I will try to get there. I am also stopping up near Ft. Myers to visit with my favorite teacher whom I haven't seen, only corresponded with, since the 7th grade.
The furthest south in FLA I have ever been was when I was living in Tampa. A far cry from the beauty of The Keys I'm sure.

I ventured to Agnew Lake on the Spanish River several times back in the eighties. Decent rustic cabins, boats, motors, etc. The fishing was incredible; northern pike, walleye, and smallmouth bass mainly. I once caught a seven and one quarter pound smallmouth while there. It's awfully hard to top a fresh walleye shore lunch! Memories. .
