Americans "Know Little Or Nothing About the World"

I've been all over this planet we call Earth, well maybe half of it, OK maybe that's all an exaggeration. A number of countries in Europe, the deserts, quite a few in Asia, and even an occasional trip to the North Sea area, and the African region.

And I would agree... Americans know little to nothing about the world in General. Hell, I'd say a good majority don't know much about the rest of this country, most won't leave their state in their lifetimes.

One thing most will never know, we are not perfect, but we are truly a great country. One of the luckiest, one of the best. If they had to live in some other parts of the world, they would know this.

And that’s why the rest of the world is beating a path across our borders to grasp a part of the American Dream I believe that’s why many who became US citizens voted for Trump because our country was starting to look like the places they left.
 
Let’s see. South Korea, Okinawa, Philippines, Portugal (Terceira Island, Azores), United Kingdom, and Germany. I know enough about the world (and the United States - Missouri, Illinois, Texas, Colorado, Florida, Arizona, California, Virginia) that I doubt I’ll ever leave Texas going forward! I just enjoy FREEDOM too damned much!
 
For the majority of Americans our country IS our “world”. You see Mr Baldwin, when you have boat loads of money it’s easy for you to pick up and go or move anywhere you want on a whim, not so easy for the rest of us.
I’m relatively well traveled and can tell you of all the places I have been in this world, though very nice to visit, there is absolutely no place I would rather be . As much bs our gov taxes and puts us through it is a helluva lot better than any other place I have ever been.
 
There are many who said they'd leave this country if Trump was elected. And some of them did it twice.

But they are still here. I wonder what they found out that changed their minds. Reality, maybe? I've been to some hell holes in other countries and there is no other place I would want to live than here.

This. Frankly, when you are born as an American you’ve already Won the lottery of life. Very few people in the world even live as well as the “poor” here. I’ve some very good friends who have immigrated from Africa and Myanmar-the can tell some very interesting stories about what life is like in truly poor areas.

They may be leaving because Trump was elected but the more earthy reason is Diddy's arrest. He had some interesting and well known running buddies. I'd love to have access to the Diddy guest list and compare to flight manifests.

Disagree, lady (damn I hope that hurts her feelings to be arbitrarily gendered!).

Many of us are educated, not indoctrinated. We have read and understand our founding documents and comprehend fully that those of your political ilk hate them. We voted for Trump in an effort to save this country as founded.

As for you, why don't you go ahead and move away. And stay gone. Prove your conviction and renounce your citizenship in the process.
