Here is my latest, my wife bought it for my birthday and I hate it. I hate digital watches, but, I wear it every time I go out the woods, I promised, the gps and way point features can be handy, but i still dislike it. I do occasionally wear it when working out just to see heart rates and such. Like now on the eliptical.

Does your wife know you don’t like it?

For many years now, I've only worn dual display watches. I like analog and digital displays at the same time. A carry over from my commercial diver days. Time keeping was pretty important as part of the job.

Curious as to what you dislike? I had to play around with downloading different dial faces before I found the right one for me. My Garmin Phoenix 6S has been a pleasure and I will buy another when it reaches its end of life.

I dislike digital watches. I have been predominantly an automatic, or quartz, analog watch wearer since buying my first watch in 1975, I think.m 1964 been a while. I prefer diver watches with rice bead bracelets.

This one, a 90s Citizen, gets a lot of wrist time these days. Have moved downwards in size these days to where I like 39mm a lot.

1974 actually it was when I needed a dive watch.

I have had a number of ani-digis over the years, they are useful sometimes and definitely look better than strictly digital. Last i had is on the bottom of lake huron. Popped a pin with a two piece strap and poof it was gone. No more two piece straps, especially on boats.

Makes sense! I get you on the rice-bead bracelet. I had a Doxa with the rb bracelet for a little while. Pretty comfy wearing watch but it would occasionally give a tug on the arm hair! 😲 I've got a low-line Tissot and a SeaMaster Great White on a bracelet for my analog watches.

The first unit that I was in the Army had a rule that you should have something to write with something to write on and watch on your person at all times.

I bought one of these at the PX and I wore it until I got out.

After the Army I went to work in the Trades and having a watch on my wrist was a pain in the ass and it just got in the way.

When I became a security guard I was always required to either have the company radio or the company phone on me and the time on the radio or the time on the company phone was always the official time. No need for a watch.

When I retired I bought myself a pocket watch.

And now that I think about it one of the dumbest gifts to give somebody who's retiring is watch. A retiree is the last person in the world that needs it.

I had some issues carrying it in my pocket but all of my t-shirts have pockets on them so now I carry my pocket watch and my t-shirt pocket with the chain hooked into one of the buttonholes on my outer shirt. It works great.
