And the watch collection is getting bigger

I used to wear a vintage Rolex GMT Master every day. I really liked the watch, but when Biden got elected my wife and I knew he was going to run the economy into the ditch. So we looked really hard at what we could do about it. Our only debt was the house, so we decided to run at that as hard as we could. As a result, the Rolex went, along with most of my lifelong gun collection. It was worth it. Paying off the house and being debt free is an amazing feeling. No matter what happens, we will always have a place to live. Yes it was tough to sell guns. But worth it.

I will also say that selling stuff was not as hard as I thought it would be. I kept the ones I really used or family guns. But after a lifetime of collecting, I had a lot of stuff that had not been out of the safe in a long time. I also kept the nicest examples. So now I have much less quantity, but the quality is there with all the stuff that is left. And since we don't have any children, weeding some out made sense on that level too. I didn't want to keel over dead and leave all that stuff for my long suffering wife (after all, she is married to me) to sort out later.

Nice GMT-Master.
My only Rolex is a GMT. Two tone, with a bronze face. Looks like a brown sugar-cinnamon pop-tart.
