They are nice firing guns.
IMO, no different than a P320 series, or all the competition out there.
Seemed like a nice gun when I fired it the first time. I just have soo many others like it, nothing set it apart to really need another plastic striker gun.
I think you’ll find the gun fits the bill for what it is

I’ve had no issues whatsoever with SA firearms and as I mentioned multiple times having distanced myself from 9mm I honestly had no intention of buying another 9mm let alone the Echelon. That being said winning one is a plus beyond compare.
I will enjoy shooting the gun no matter what.

Guns are like cars to me.
Manufacturers make all the models to compete, but really are better at certain things.
To me, SA makes great rifles and 1911’s. I’m not a fan of their plastic pistols. Meh….
Their Saint Line and 1911’s get punished by me monthly. I mean worked hard.

Some Glock models have had their issues.

Yep, Gen 4 RSA, and before that on the late Gen 3 to Gen 4, they changed the tooled steel locking blocks with MIM, and had cracking issues, till they beveled the corners where the cracks developed, all guns will have issues

I thought I heard about some "walking" pin issues, also.

All my "Gs" are older Gen 3s which seem to be "issue-proof".

Yea, certain models, mostly with the .40 cal, my older G27 did that, forgot about that one…..

Ok so I’ve dragged this out long enough……
Last Saturday I went to Range USA for the Springfield rollout of the new ECHELON 9mm
Now I remember reporting that I didn’t shoot the gun as I wasn’t into the 9mm platform any longer.
However I did get a hat and of course signed up for the Giveaway…………

Yup. The phone call was from
Range USA letting me know I won the gun.

So I checked out the Springfield store and the gun Is listed for $649 with 2 mags included. The magazines cost $45 each so being given another 6 mags at $270 Makes the whole giveaway worth $919.00

I was honestly surprised but paid no tax on the transfer, I doubt I’ll get a tax bill in the mail however if I do I’ll pay it no big deal.
