Another Call to Customer service

So after calling Springfield Customer Service a few days ago and no return call, I called again. I explained the ongoing issues with the FTE with my SA-35. Lady said we've already had your gun back twice. Ok so after running down how many rounds I put through her and what ammo type since she came back she is sending me yet another RMA. I really love this gun when she functions correctly but being sent back three times now for the same issue ? I'll give them this one last chance and then if it comes back still having the issues they better refund all my money or issue me a brand new gun. I'm to the point where I just may make it a paperweight already. I can't understand it, all my other Springfield's run flawlessly perhaps they were in such a rush to bring this offering to market or something ? I have quite a number of guns from many different companies and I have never ever personally had to send any back this many times. Come to think of it I've never met anyone who had to send the same gun back three times for the same issue. Okay. ranting done.

Hope this works for you, but be prepared if it doesn’t because I guarantee you won’t get a refund or new gun from them.

Over 30+ years shooting/collecting guns, I have only sent 2 back for warranty work, one was a S&W 686 and the other was a Colt 1991 series 1911. Hopefully they get your gun right this time, Springfield has great customer service and warranty.

without the entire set of number, what are the first 2-3 serial numbers?

below (as an example.....) 4000..???

above (as an example......) 6000..???

mine are 66xx

as it stands now, i have nearly 500 rds thru mine, all new ammo, either S&B, or a no name brown box.....and NO problems whatsoever.

i was reading that if the serial was above 5,000 (??) the problems were taken care of, since if i recall, S/A made corrections to the higher serial numbers??

i cannot recall if it was here on this website, or someplace else, that was "said"....

but as said, S/A, ain't gonna just give you another gun.

send it back as many times as you have to.

if it were me, and the next time it happens, i'd send it back yet again, get it back, and sell it.

then it'll suck if the new owner never has any problems

Serial number in the high five thousands. Ammo was always 115 grain Blazer Brass FMJ's although 100 rounds were Winchester 115 grain hollow points. Was thinking about giving her one last spin tomorrow before sending her back yet again. She's clean and what not. was thinking about perhaps another 300 rounds and see what happens ?

maybe they had run out of new extractors and springs by the time they got your gun, and only stripped it and cleaned it..??

otherwise, i don't know.

my ammo, as i mentioned is all new, S&B, the "brown box" is all gone now, so i am not sure what grain it was. the S&B, i have both 115 and 124, and i just grab a box or 2, and just inventory 9mm out of stock.

tell you what too, i just got back my Kimber Custom II tone, and they had to "ream" the chamber.....(i was having some FTE as well)

have you gotten into the chamber area with a new bronze brush and gotten it clean up to the "ridge" where the cartridge butts up to..???

can you remove the barrel, and "test fit" a cartridge and remove it with your fingers? or turn it upside down and it falls out easily???

Like everything else components in any gun are manufactured to tolerances, optimum tolerances and accepted tolerances,if 1 or maybe 2 are accepted tolerance the rest make up for it,but have more than that maybe that's why the gun won't function properly.
Sorry if I haven't explained it properly just a thought

I'm kinda thinking it would suck more if some poor unknowing person got stuck with it still not working

I was having trouble with my garrison but I just hit the 500 mark and it seems to have smoothed out ?? Might be me though🍺🍺😁

Should it fall out easy ?

Good luck got my fingers crossed for ya

There must be five threads here about problems with this gun. Personally I wouldn't touch one with a 10 foot pole.
See my second post on this topic, I was not referencing the model in general but his specific pistol which had already made trips to SA. Presumably, SA performed fixes and function tests. If so, and he is still having issues. Has he eliminated that perhaps he is doing something wrong in shooting. High thumbs interfering with slide, limp wristing, or any other possible issue. Another shooter might help.

Just got back from the range yet again. Fired 200 more rounds and had 8 FTE's. Sending her back yet again. High priced paperweight. All I can say is 31 years as a Police Officer my dept has roughly 50 Officers and we all carry Glocks. Other than recoil springs having to be replaced only had to send 1 back. Wife was right. Glocks work each and every time and cost less than this paperweight.
