anti Drone weapons

3.5” BB loads, extra-full choke; should be effective to 100+ yards.

I think I’ve I’ve still got a 3.5”, 36” bbl 10ga H&R single shot lurking in the back of the safe; I think that’ll be some powerful drone medicine, should it become needed.

Could be early Skynet…..just sayin with all this AI now…..🤔🤔

The whole concept of shooting drones is fun to talk about, but. I worry that what goes up, (bullets) must come down. In populated areas this is a problem. Not to mention what happens when Bubba is shooting at legitimate aircraft.
Who lives in a populated area ?

You're right though, it is fun to talk about but not really grounded in reality. I don't think anyone would be that interested in flying a drone around down here. And if it was one of my redneck neighbors I'd just go down there and tell them to knock it off and they would. Believe me.

If I were to "catch" a drone hovering over, or near, my back yard while my 13yo daughter was sun-bathing, I couldn't care less what law anyone cites. That drone is going down.

My former-pilot father specifically chose NOT to ever fly during gun-deer season (I'm talking about a Cessna 180, not a bird capable of cruising at 20k').

They gotta prove it now, don’t they…
You’d be surprised at how quick your coordinates get marked. And or where you go since everything has cameras now.

Remember how quick they snatched up those folks pointing laser pointers at aircraft several years ago. Drones can do the same thing.

But again everyone can do whatever they think their bank account and career can handle!

I was at work one night at the Ray Nixon Power Plant. At around 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning a State Trooper pulled up to our front gate and said that they had a report of a laser being pointed at an aircraft from "This Address".

We explained to the State Trooper that the power plant grounds covered two square miles and the address referred to one building.

I don't think he realized just how big of an area he was planning to search to find the laser guy. Nixon also bordered Range Row on Fort Carson I'm fairly certain there were people out on Range Row with laser designators as well.

We would have let him in the gate if he insisted but he didn't.

They run 10 digit grid coordinates now so they can pinpoint within one meter of it.
