I have the 9mm Centurion APX (15 rounds), with the compact frame (13 rounds). Like the Sig P320, the trigger group (or Fire Control Unit as Sig calls it), can be swapped into different size frames. I like mine but it’s essentially the Gen 1 version. The A1 is more a Gen 2 with several improvements made.Anybody have any input on this Beretta Apex A1 tactical, was looking at it today at my shop, real good price, plus you get 3 21 round mags with it.

Take down can be tricky I guess, once you know gun is clear, you move slide a tad back and press the disconnector button on rear and then you press the round take down lever on one side as you rotate the take down lever, this can be difficult I guess, I handled it and it felt good, just didn’t jump on it at this time, was just wonderingI am not a Beretta fan. Everyone I have owned has been a disappointment. I have never fired the A1. For the price it's a good deal. If you don't like it you can always sell it and get your money back for the most part. There was something goofy about this gun, maybe takedown? Take another look at it and if you think you might like it, go for it.
Guessing it would be more reliable than my SA-35………It's a Beretta. What's not to like ?
It's a great gun. It's very robust and overbuilt. Most who bash it know little about it or it's features. It has a great trigger, it's modular with a stainless steel chassis, has the option for factory 10, 13, 15, 17, and 21 round mags, it's ambitious, unlike the P320 it has interchangeable backstraps, under cut trigger guard, flat face trigger, like the M&P 2.0 it can be field stripped with or without pulling the trigger, field stripping is easy and simple, the recoil spring assembly is good for I believe over 20k rounds, the barrel is cold hammer forged and chrome lined which is something you typically find in full auto riffles, there aren't really any polymer internal as the slide stop, mag release, and recoil spring are all steel, and there are other features.Anybody have any input on this Beretta Apex A1 tactical, was looking at it today at my shop, real good price, plus you get 3 21 round mags with it.

I didn’t say it was hard, just tricky, at least that’s what my friend at my shop said, he told me it takes some practice, he just said you have to push the round part of take down lever as you rotate the lever itself, he showed me how he did it.What's so hard about the takedown?
Yes, you simply push the takedown level round part on the opposite side and rotate the lever. As you can see in the videos, it litteraly takes a second. When you put the slide back on, the level will rotate back into place. It's just as simple as having to pull down both tabs on a Glock. The only difference is you don't have to pull back on the slide with the APX.I didn’t say it was hard, just tricky, at least that’s what my friend at my shop said, he told me it takes some practice, he just said you have to push the round part of take down lever as you rotate the lever itself, he showed me how he did it.
Yea, that’s what my friend said, that’s what I meant about being tricky…The only issue might be that it can be stiff at first, but it will loosen up with use.
Trigger can’t be any worse then any Ruger polymer pistol…..I've also heard a LOT of people say the trigger sucks too. I typically will post post these video in rebuttal. Those are the original APX in the video, but the APX A1 now ships with the green competition striker spring installed from the factory whereas you had to buy it separately with the original. Once broken in, the trigger pull should be 5.5lb to 5lb.
