They get pretty good reviews whenever you read about them. They’ve been around for quite some time now. They’re inexpensive, but if you’re looking at a SAR you should have a look at a Canik. For a few shekels more you can find really good deals on non-optic ready VP9s.

I have 2. The SAR B6 hammer fire 9mm and their K12 Sport 9mm out of the box competition pistol. I haven't gotten around to shooting them at the range yet, but did watch reviews that were promising before I bought the K12 Sport. They're a Turkish firearm manufacture, and they're larger that Canik (don't tell KF or he'll secretly end up buying a bunch and drive up the price for the rest of us folks ).
I bought the B6 as a truck gun, my buddy at the LGS suggested this as it was only $339, so I went with it.
