I was in New York at Christmastime to visit my daughter. I'd wager everything you think about Brooklyn is misreported by FOXNews. It's a great neighborhood vibrant with culture and nightlife. They have a problem with gentrification.

I'm reminded about the FOX story that claimed Baltimore blight by filming four sides of a city block (near the steel mill) that was slated for demolition. I recognized it because I lived near Baltimore for most of my life. They could have actually done a story about Baltimore poverty. But they made up some stuff because that's their lane.

FOXNews exists to reinforce your belief that you're better than everyone else. And that it is everyone else's fault if you're not.

Ocasio-Cortez hasn't done anything to fundimentally change the 14th. But neither has your representative fundimentally changed your district. That's not within their power. She will be reelected by landslide. So I'm guessing it is none of your concern.

Let's face it. A O C has zero qualifications for running her district. She tries to get her anti America beliefs put into effect for the country and her immigration stance is horrid. She is Pro Middle east over Pro America. She has zero interest in helping Americans and all the effort to support Hamas.

Well you’re right I care little about it, though it absolutely affects everyone, regardless of what district she represents.

Also Fox News doesn’t affect me because I don’t watch it. My niece, pretty much a communist like you, lives in The Bronx. She’s a professor and a local PBS personality. Not shocking the type of people that like NY. Recent polling however suggests that half of New Yorkers plan to relocate elsewhere in the next five years.
 
In my view AOC and her ilk represent the death of the American way of freedoms as we have known it. She is a loudmouthed communist doing her best to destroy the country from within. When people wake up to what is happening I fear it may be too late. And God forbid, if these people gain power, they will be coming for your guns, because they have to disarm you in order to do the rest of it.

Be sure your grandchildren know firearms.

Ocasio Cortez is a socialist, not a communist. And she's more of a democratic socialist, like most of the governments in western Europe, which really only shares a name with a traditional pure socialist. There are no communists in US government. And as one of 435 representatives and maybe five who are democratic socialists, she's no threat to anyone in the same way that Loren Bobert (an authoritarian) is harmless.

There are no communist countries in the world anymore. They all pretty much became dictatorships in short order, no matter what they call themselves.

Democratic Socialism is a very popular form of government for US citizens under 30. And no matter what you think of the name, it is way a more successful form of governance than communism or authoritarianism.

Then they should move to countries that have that, and leave us Real Americans alone. We enjoy our Constitutional Republic and our Capitalism. If you like some other sort of system, find a country that has a climate you like and a language you can learn to speak, and GO LIVE THERE. Everybody happy! ;)
