Appendix Carry

With AIWB a person can “look” the gun back into the holster (I don’t remove the holster when reholstering, too many distractions getting the holstered gun and holster back inside my waistband). With 4:00 carry, I don’t see how in the world you can be sure nothing gets in the way on putting the gun back in the holster. Personally, I feel safer with AIWB than I would carrying at 4:00.

Easy. As others have mentioned, you remove the empty holster, place the gun in it (at easy eye distance to ensure no blockages), and place holster back on your belt at 4:00. Or, in my case, 4:30-5:00.

Though I do sometimes carry safer guns AIWB, like LCRs and 442s, or strikers with manual safety.

I do wonder sometimes if those that carry no safety fully cocked strikers AIWB would carry a cocked and unlocked 1911 the same way.

Forty-two posts (I haven't bothered to read all) and the debate will (still) continue.

I don't do it, and I'd never presume to tell someone else to do it or not do it. Every form of carry is some form of compromise. Do what works for you.
