I would think this could be used to track people and not just as a anti crime item. Opinions?

Not for me,we are tracked enough with card purchases,cctv and the like,any responsible gun owner should know where there firearms are at any time anyway

Nope. I can see the value if traveling but I would probably have it secured on rifle in a spot that is more difficult to remove.

You can literally buy a tiny GPS tracker for like $30 and put it up in there yourself.
