AR15 search

I have 2 Springfields. One is a basic Saint and the other is the Saint Edge. I have owned other brands but I can honestly say the Springfield's have been the best. When it comes to Arms you get what you pay for. Spent 23 years in the military so I am well versed with the AT platforms. A basic Saint is a great weapon and all you should need.

I have to agree with @KillerFord1977. I have a couple ARs, but I’m not a big fan, and I know as well as everyone out there that there are a lot of extremely cheap options on AR15s, and I also recognize that not everyone is able to lay out Daniel Defense bucks on an AR, but there are a lot of good quality, reasonably priced ARs like the SA Saint and Aero Precision M4E1 that as a first AR are a much better choice IMHO than your average build a bear AR15. Get a good quality AR first and learn about it, then if you want to assemble an AR15, do so. Like it or not, you get what you pay for in all guns. Don’t want to lay out $1000 bucks and a $700 ACME AR15 seems a better deal? You’re going to easily spend that $300 on ammo, a foregrip, a red dot, a sling, more mags, without thinking about it. Spend the extra on the gun and sleep tight knowing you got a better than average gun.

This is where we need TWIX to give us a loooong lesson in tolerance stacking.

In summary, the barrel, the trigger and the BCG are the primary parts you don't want to skimp on. The rest of it is pretty standard across the platform and really comes down to aesthetics.

The Smith and Wesson Sport is a great rifle, we use them with my department and I own one myself, a cheaper, quality AR that will last you. Plus you can customize to your hearts content. I have the carry handle as well. I got it because it was more like my service rifle, "its what I know." happy hunting.

Thank you.
