Bank of America Gave “Weapon-Related” Purchase Data to the Feds

I looked at the USPS website, and it says ammunition is prohibited from shipment, but like you, I think I have received ammunition in the mail before. I just had a FedEx delivery today of some 7.62 x 51, and it had a hazmat code on the box. Maybe some shippers don't know the federal regulations?
If they don't they likely will soon enough? They sell ammo, they should know laws governing ammo. Most, if not all online sellers post ammo shipping info and how it's shipped. From what have read, it needs to be signed for as well.
On a side note, around my place, carriers including USPS, routinely deliver for each other at times.
So, USPS may well have delivered for FedEX, UPS, DHL or others?

Ammo doesn’t need to be signed for. I’ve come home to boxes of ammo on my porch and in my mailbox. I can’t recall if it’s ever been delivered by USPS, but usually it has HazMat markings on the box.

I received another ammo shipment yesterday, but I already threw away the box. But this is the symbol that has been on all the shipments of ammo that I have received. Yesterday was the first time I ever had to sign for a package (FedEx, .357 mag. ammo), but maybe it was only because I was standing outside in my front yard when they pulled up. All the other times I've received shipments, they just leave it at the front door. That's with FedEx or UPS. I can't honestly say if I've ever received ammunition with the USPS. I know I've received plenty of accessories in the mail, but just can't remember if I ever received ammo with the USPS. I do know years ago, I had to send in a pistol for a recall, and that was shipped FedEx, and it needed a signature from someone of legal age, or they would not leave it. But I was home for that delivery anyway. And again, if you go the USPS website, it lists ammunition as a prohibited item they won't ship.

I will look for it this time...
Forgot to respond to this one: there was no Hazmat designation on the box. But the gal at the UPS store where I get my mail pointed out it looked like the box had been partially opened - there was one seam separated almost halfway down. Pulled apart slightly, the ammo boxes could be seen.
Nothing was missing but an inspection might explain the delay.

It may depend on residence state? Some states ammo is entirely no go, some most anything, some needs to be signed for. In mailbox? Is USPS then. It's illegal for any other entities to use mailbox for delivery. - UPS/ FEDEX, ect. cannot legally use mailboxes for deliveries. Is federal law. Have noticed some mixed deliveries, including ammo, is no need to sign for package. Why is very long winded, some has to do with content percentages.

Inspectors aren't really too good at inspecting sometimes?
Have had some packages inspected by heavy handed ***** that basically ruined a well packaged item. - Had photo's of preshipment packing verses package arrival condition. Possibly some have no care, concern or respect for others, things or the others property? Usually USPS from experience.

I actually have a shipment of .380 coming in tomorrow, for the wife's EDC. It's coming by UPS, but I'll take a look at the box before I throw it out for proper HazMat signage. Next week I have a couple hundred rounds of .357 coming in, but by FedEx. I'll check that box also.

Many people have little to no clue on icons.
So, icons may as well be ancient hieroglyphics as far as understanding goes?
Is the main issue with icons and way too many, sometimes conflicting laws sometimes?

I wonder why no firearms retailers have implemented paying for purchases with bitcoin, or Ethereum. This is going to be an issue with all banks in the future.

Here is how my shipment of .380 ammo for my wife arrived today from UPS. I can understand having the HazMat signage, but I'm not sure I like the way the packaging from the shipper advertises what's inside. I'd rather have my ammo deliveries in a plain brown box. I'll have to pay attention to my upcoming deliveries from other shippers. I know not all advertise on their packaging. And I did not need to sign for this delivery. Next delivery is for sometime next week from FedEx, and most of the time I don't need to sign for them either.
