Would you do a barrel break-in on a new M1A? And or how about a new AR-15.

I wouldn’t. Unless the M1A was a National Match. Same with the AR, if you built it with a Bartlein, Krieger or Shilen barrel, ect. Even then some don’t require a break in. 20 rounds clean 20 rounds clean ect. Some have different ways they do it. If it’s off the shelf I wouldn’t worry about it.
