I read that yesterday, someone in city hall revealed emails or text messages from the StL mayor where she acknowledged that Chicago‘s gun bans and strict laws had no effect on the prevailing and rising gun violence amongst the youngsters (here).

These people are at loss for talking points.
If they have nothing to bellyache about then there’s no gettin’ federal gubmint money. Gun bans require funding for programs ….for the kids. If StL ran out of unaccountable surplus CovidMoney then the next step is to create a new source of grift - a national health emergency crisis, so funding can come from a multitude of agencies in the form of an add ons and the folks that donated the most to the StL mayors campaign get to play anti-gun violence advocate.

If we needed more proof that when they ask for "Common sense" gun laws it's just a doorway to more. The state let them entertain the idea of passing a law that bars open carry in the city of STL, which is really them just saying they don't want to lock up all these young black dudes cruising around with AKs, and now, not even a month later Virvus Jones, uh, excuse me, Tishaura Jones, wants to ban ARs and pick what people to infringe upon. It's ludicrous and just goes to show what kind of dumb gets proposed when you elect retarded people.
