BassCliff, the NRA Volunteer

BassCliff

Greetings all,

I hope I can share some of my adventures here without causing a stir or violating forum rules. If we are able to elect candidates that advocate for the Second Amendment and all our other Constitutional rights, our right to self-protection can be more universal, firearm and ammo prices may even become more reasonable. To that end I have been doing some volunteer work for my local NRA chapter, knocking on doors, sending texts, and writing post cards.

I asked one nice lady if she supported candidates who advocate for the Second Amendment and our other Constitution rights. She said, "What? No way! Those people are crazy!" :ROFLMAO:

I've been encouraging folks to get out and vote, particularly for those candidates who support 2A. It's a targeted canvassing. I don't knock on every door. It's fun getting out in the fresh air and sunshine to meet new people. I've met some really nice folks.

In fact, I've been having so much fun that I was among the top 10 door knockers in the country for the month of September. Yesterday FedEx delivered this.

It's my very own Hoppe's gun cleaning accessory kit, complete with a thank-you note from Lexi. I was only a little disappointed that there was no compass and a thing that tells time. ;)

I'd like to encourage all of you to vote too. It has been estimated that 50% of hunters do not vote. Numbers like those can change outcomes. The mid-term election is only 25 days away and in many places early voting has already begun.

Thank you for your indulgence,

Im assuming the street sign was no accident. haha

Good job Cliff, and congrats on the gift for your exceptional work. The NRA has some very dedicated people (such as yourself), at the lower and grassroots levels. My Gun club has a long association with the NRA, and you must be a NRA member in good standing to join (fortunately I'm a NRA Lifetime member). They still offer classes and sponsor events there.
I think it would be beneficial though, if some of the NRA national board members could be removed, and the NRA leaders get back to it's core values without the graft and corruption rumored to exist there. But that's been discussed several times here on the numerous threads posted on this subject, so I'll leave it at that.
Anyways, keep up the good work Cliff, it is appreciated by this member. (y)

BassCliff said: "I know the NRA has had some issues. I may not like everyone on the bus, but as long as it's going the right direction I'll take the ride." and I couldn't agree any more.

Very well put there Mr BassCliff. Ya' done good son .... ya' done real good!

And I intend to vote early ......... and vote often!

;):p:D Y'all know I'm just kidd'n, I ain't likely to vote early!

Hi!

You guys warm my heart. I appreciate your encouragement. :)

Great job Cliff.

Let's just say, the NRA is getting its money's worth. :ROFLMAO: But it really is fun, even when talking to the persnickety ones.

The folks I'm working under in our local chapter are highly motivated and passionate. I guess some of it rubbed off on me. This is the first time I've ever done anything like this. They throw some pretty fun events and it's great meeting other members.

Way to go Cliff. I am an Endowment life member and working on my Patron level.

I also have voted every election since becoming old enough to do so. Oh , and I only vote once just for the record. (y)
😁

I'm still the low man on the NRA totem pole but the more I get involved, the more I enjoy it. I wish everyone would just vote once on election day. I'm a little upset with my Dad. He would've never voted Democrat while he was alive. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, yeah. You're a kidder. So am I. ;) (See my bad joke above.)

Thank you for your good work. It really does help

I hope so. At least it makes me feel like I'm trying to make a difference. It sure beats just sitting at home and crossing my fingers. :)

Fantastic job, Cliff! However, the least they could have done for all your hard work, was sent you a Winchester Rifle. You earned it!

Hmmm, I'll ask if they can sweeten the pot next time. :D They do feed us quite often. I can't complain.

You guys are great. I mean it.

The whole time I thought your name (Bass) was in reference to the fish! Now I see your new profile picture and I understand how far off I really was!

Regardless, you and I have had our discussions about the NRA, I think it's awesome that you're out there and doing something to support our passion and our rights. Keep up the work, my friend!

Hi Cliff, hope all is well! Good work, btw.

I just spent 15 minutes on the NRA website and could not find ANYTHING on whether Wayne is still running the show. I could not find anything mentioning who is on the board of directors....can you point me toward where this information is made public? I'd do a google-search, but who knows what bad info big tech would provide....
