Greetings all,
I hope I can share some of my adventures here without causing a stir or violating forum rules. If we are able to elect candidates that advocate for the Second Amendment and all our other Constitutional rights, our right to self-protection can be more universal, firearm and ammo prices may even become more reasonable. To that end I have been doing some volunteer work for my local NRA chapter, knocking on doors, sending texts, and writing post cards.
I asked one nice lady if she supported candidates who advocate for the Second Amendment and our other Constitution rights. She said, "What? No way! Those people are crazy!"
I've been encouraging folks to get out and vote, particularly for those candidates who support 2A. It's a targeted canvassing. I don't knock on every door. It's fun getting out in the fresh air and sunshine to meet new people. I've met some really nice folks.
In fact, I've been having so much fun that I was among the top 10 door knockers in the country for the month of September. Yesterday FedEx delivered this.
It's my very own Hoppe's gun cleaning accessory kit, complete with a thank-you note from Lexi. I was only a little disappointed that there was no compass and a thing that tells time.
I'd like to encourage all of you to vote too. It has been estimated that 50% of hunters do not vote. Numbers like those can change outcomes. The mid-term election is only 25 days away and in many places early voting has already begun.
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff
