In what manner?
As far as general shooting...whatever you can get for the cheapest, that your gun runs reliably.
I say that because not all guns like all rounds; just because my Hellcat likes, for instance, Blazer Brass 115gr FMJ is no guarantee yours will (but it most likely will). So pick up a few different makes, see how they feed in your pistol, and go from there.
As far as defensive ammo? That’s a more involved question...if that’s what you’re asking, let me know, I’ll follow up.
But I’m going to let you in on a dirty little secret that it takes many shooters YEARS to find out:
There is no single, objective “best” ammunition, for any gun.

Ummm...well...
I don’t have a Hellcat...I was just using it and the ammo as an example
I think the one I shot was running Magtech, the range provided rounds (rental gun, had to use their ammo).
Winchester steel cased 9mm will not even load in my LC9s but it will shoot all day in the M&P full size and VP9.Yup Hans, my Hellcat ran fine using the Blazer Brass 115gr you mentioned in your post, as well

The only round that has ever choked my USP45 was Winchester WinClean—and I mean CHOKED. Multiple failures per mag; switched to my carry ammo, ran fine...
But my 1911’s? Love ‘em. Go figure.

Personally, before I go out and buy bulk ammo, I will buy a box from different manufacturers, try them and see what my gun prefers, defensive and practice types, then I will make a decision on what to buy then.

Defensive round. Ive ran 300 rounds of Blazer Brass 115gr FMJ with no problems. I was just looking for a defensive round

Start here.
Find out what rounds perform better out of short barrels, and, more importantly, why they are said to perform better.
Pick a couple that look good, and see if your Hellcat likes them; are they reliable? Accurate? Controllable in rapid fire? If you find one that checks all the boxes...run a few mags worth to confirm reliability, and stock up.

Critical Duty is a poor choice for short barreled handguns like the Hellcat.
It is designed for service/duty length tubes-4” or longer—and needs the extra velocity to get proper performance. A lot of times, it gets minimal to no expansion, and excessive penetration.

Prohibitively expensive to shoot enough to verify reliability, imho, and questionable if it lives up to it’s claims.
Personally, I don’t see it doing anything any better than a heavy, hard cast flat nose loaded hot
