Biden needs to parachute himself into Kiev and ask THOSE innocent people whether or not “gun control” [lib-speak for “people control”] is a BAD IDEA that leads to LOSS OF FREEDOM.

Sheesh, not ten minutes earlier he was championing LIBERTY.

I couldn't listen to it. If I hear him for 30 seconds I fly into a homicidal rage. But advocating gun control? I'm shocked.....just shocked!
 
If the president is so supportive of armed citizens fighting for liberty, perhaps he could recognize the similarities illustrated by a simple comparison. The president acknowledges that the people of Ukraine need weapons because they border a country which is run by a maniacal dictator who is willing to oppress his people in order to maintain power. After seeing how Canada treated civilian truckers who merely wanted the freedom to work, the same can be now be said about the U.S.A.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting.
Violent thugs burned and looted our communities while many LEO’s were either overwhelmed or just flat out told (as in my community) to “ Let it happen”.
They ask , “ why do you need a fully semi automatic assault rifle and a 250 round clip ?”
My answer- “ Your 🤬 poor leadership that’s enabled lawlessness in our communities and at our southern border”

I have literally seen deer smarter than this guy and his handlers. As for kevlar and russian invasions, what's going on now only serves to underscore the absolute need for "a well-regulated (disciplined) militia"!

If the US government weren't preventing Americans from re-entering the USA without a clot-shot, I'd go to Ukraine and train their citizen militia. And I'd do it with Croatian pew-pews.

Way too similar. I believe we (the US and others) said to the Ukraine, please disarm and we will protect you (Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances). The law abiding country of Ukraine disarmed. Now they are being attacked by the "bad guys" who didn't disarm. Our support is pretty weak. Sound familiar, LA, Chicago & NY?

I'm paraphrasing, but I've heard it explained this way:

The second amendment was not written by people who had just returned from a hunting trip. They had just returned from winning a revolution to free their country.

The second amendment was written so that the people could throw off the yoke of a tyrannical government.

That is what the "democrat socialists" are afraid of.

Of course, we also need guns for hunting, competition, self defense, home defense, etc. ;)

Those of you who either lived it or learned of it while the schools actually taught something other than marxism, there was a group called 'Deacons for Defense & Justice'. During the civil rights struggle, not everyone had home defense firearms, so if someone was in danger and needed protection the Deacons would be there. Like the Battle of Athens, the Deacons for Defense were an impromptu militia consisting of veterans defending their communities from tyranny and brownshirt violence. The Deacons sure weren't hunting deer; if anything they 'hunted' Klansmen. The Deacons, like the veterans of Athens TN, are a refutation of what Biden said, and these black men carried the original "black rifles", the .223 caliber Armalite Rifle AR-15.
