Bill taking aim at IRS would strip agency of guns and ammo

why on earth does the IRS need tactical units..???

i dunno, seems to me someone thought tax evaders need to be blasted away, rather than fined/jailed..???

bad enough they seize homes and other assets.
Seems like just about every agency has some type of “Enforcement” section.

you sure you want the answer to why so many f gov agencies have been recently armed? Ok then, to make a top down, f gov run country - you must do away with all local law enforcement, especially any leaderships that are voted for, such as sheriffs, and then either co-opt or remove the rest. No state police, no sheriffs etc. Just f leos. Ask the CCP and the late CCCP, iran, nkorea etc if it works/worked. Prove me wrong.

the agents need guns like the postal inspectors, correct???
can irs serve a warrant? they are not certified law enforcement are they
The IRS has around 2,100 Criminal Investigators (1811’s) that are Federal LEO’s attend FLETC and investigate criminal issues and make arrests write affidavits for warrants WTC.

And the Postal Service has “Postal Inspectors” also 1811’s

How it works IRS CID and Posyal Inspector's and you name it do their agency specific Training at FLETC the there is a criminal investigation course that is usually all the different agencies attending the same course then again splitting up wjem the have to cover their agencies mission specific area.

But criminal investigation is usually the same for the most part, computer use finding stuff k cell phones etc etc

I skimmed through the proposed bill and unless they change other things they can not auction off Government agency guns as Clinton put an end to that in the early 90’s. US Custom Service S&W 686 CS1 revolvers were the last Fed guns to make it on the civilian market (this is civilian agencies CMP is a separate entity not covered)

Where else are the tactacool IRS agents going to get to go and play commando? I know I'm not the only one here old enough to remember when snipers were if not shunned, at least looked at sidewise. Now every sob and his brother is a Sniper, Seal, SF, Ranger, Recon, Special teams, commando something or other. I don't know how we will ever fight another war. Evidently there are no self-propelled, pop-up targets with the IQ of a rock. AKA ground pounder Infantry. You know, the ones that go in, take, and HOLD ground.

I think there are a lot more people who claim to be Snipers, Seals, Raider Recon, Spec ops, etc. than there are in reality.

Yep. “Patch Finders”. They go to a course, not the actual school, just to fill a slot, then never apply what they learned to actual real world situations.
I was a Grunt. I went to the schools because I was qualified to go. I applied what I learned and shared my knowledge with others in my unit.
