You would think that engineers would address any flaws that exist with Russian tank designs. I served with a Abrams tank commander who took two direct hits from a T-72 and was able to destroy each of the enemy tasks afterwards.

Those turret cages are an attempt to protect against drone-dropped grenades.

The T-90 annihilation was from a dedicated ATGM coming in-level from the front.

Putin has claimed the T-90 is invincible but reality has proven otherwise.

I believe I read somewhere that the problem is the way the ammo is stored in the turret. It seems that anything that can penetrate the armor has a very good chance of setting off the tanks own ammo supply.
