The second, the EAA Girsan MC P35 has a MSPR of $528.

So, more traditional and economical than the modernized FN version.

True KF. I paid about $850 for a Belgium police trade in from Classic Firearms about 2+ years ago. It was listed as a condition B (A being being best, C the lowest class, with their price set accordingly). Mine looks to be in very good condition, and it is one of the rarer light frame models.

FN version is more than twice the price of Girsan… Nevertheless, I will be unable to resist this one.
Sign me up; stainless steel first choice, FDE somewhat distant second.

I cringe thinking about my first BHP circa 1989. $385 brand new in box.

Items announced at the Shot Show, or just before, aren't typically available instantly, especially nowadays. And even more problematic when items have to be imported.

Last year I waited 9 months for a imported pistol to be come available, and then in limited numbers.

I really like the looks of that FN High Power. I have the FNX Tactical 45 in FDE, and love it. It was about the same price as the FDE FN HP model shown above.

If BHSS comes up with a positive review of the Girsan, I'll probabaly go with it since it's the traditional one.

My gunsmith is skilled with BHPs so I'll have him tune up the trigger abit & dump the mag safety.

I like 2 out of 3 of the FN's (the FDE doesn't do much for me). I'm glad to see manufacturers bringing Hi-Power models back to market. The MSRP is $400-$500 more than I'm comfortable paying, but I'd be interested if I found a deal. I've had an SA-35 on order since it was announced, but my dealer hasn't received any yet.

I’m not touching the SA-35 now that FN is in the game…however much I love my Springer 1911s.

Occasionally, when surplus rolled in, deals could be had.

I traded a Glock 19 for my FN Herstal Mk3 Israeli surplus with C&S trigger...that would be less than the Girsans are going for now.

But I'm not going to get an SA-35 with it's issues and have to rebuild nearly the whole pistol.

We'll see how the Girsan rates out by BHSS, and if it has significant issues then I'll go to the surplus/used market.

Only the new FN version, since there are several clones/near-clones & the new FN High Power.

I see some cross compatibility but not much, so if you want to stick with the orginal configuration then the new FN is just in name only.
