Can You Threat-Focus Shoot?

I believe that threat focus shooting is an essential skill set to develop. Psychologically it does induce a degree focus and stress that just isn't present with any other target shooting. It is also one of my favorite skills to hone.

Billymac, the answer is, "yes".

I just noticed that the bad guy has evil looking eyebrows.

I do not have optics installed on my handguns (my HKs would require slide milling) but if I did, this would definitely be the way to go. Even with iron sights, I teach my students to focus on threat in defensive shooting. They have to get the old school sight picture and pistol presentation down first though... or it would mess everything up. Proved this by making a students red dot suddenly not work when he expected it to.

I’m gonna pay attention to eyebrow arches everywhere I go now. Cause otherwise good guys and bad guys look like twins.
