Heck, throw in Hawaii, New York, New Jersey and Coomifornia to sweeten the pot.I'd trade Puerto Rico to Canada for the Prairie Provinces, and the Yukon & BC east of the Continental Divide(s).
Canadians I know aren't impressed with it.Universal healthcare. And despite US propaganda, they think we're crazy for not having it.
Doctors and nurses are paid on a government scale. The only way they can make more is to highly specialize. Hallway medicine is prevalent in Canada. I waited for over four hours in a suture room with acute abdominal pain. Went into emergency by ambulance at 7PM at the end of my shift, I was finally wheeled into X-ray at midnight. Was finally given morphine at 12:30 and released at 02:30. Never really got an answer as to what was wrong. I know now that my appendix wasn’t happy. Had it removed here in the USA four years ago.Canadians I know aren't impressed with it.
Yes we had family members who came to the U.S. for treatment and procedures they couldn't get in Canada. They fortunately could make expenses out of pocket.Doctors and nurses are paid on a government scale. The only way they can make more is to highly specialize. Hallway medicine is prevalent in Canada. Universal healthcare sucks balls (unless you’re rich or related to a politician). Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
I know of many who came across the border for an MRI or a CAT scan because to book one in Canada would put them out nearly a year out. Truly pathetic.Yes we had family members who came to the U.S. for treatment and procedures they couldn't get in Canada. They fortunately could make expenses out of pocket.
