With all the protesting and riots response time by police is bordering on 20 minutes as most police officers are not going to any calls in pairs, they are going in force and force takes time to assemble.

The country is full of very sheltered people & politicians who've never experienced the savagery that some men are capable of and because of this sheltering they don't understand the struggle of growing up in a place where true violence suddenly erupting is common and the need to act in the moment on whatever side of your fight or flight response is critical to your survival.
