First he downplayed the documented complaints of racism against him while he was a supervisor with the ATF. Now we find out that Chipman failed to mention that an interview he gave to Chinese media was used to downplay the stabbing deaths of Chinese school kids. By the way, it downplayed the deaths of the Chinese kids by pointing out that Sandy Hook was worse. I've linked one article below, but there are many more.
I never wanted this guy to have any authority to regulate firearms. Now I'm beginning to doubt he could even handle the alcohol or tobacco parts of the job. Regardless of his personal views or politics, Mr. Chipman is simply too involved in too many controversies to be considered for any executive position.
