I clean my firearms every time they are fired and check the ones that haven't been monthly to be sure they will operate as they should when needed. Sometimes, a little lube touch up is all that's needed, possibly due to the dehumidifier in the safe. I'm careful not to over lube as it attracts excess residue when firing. Call me crazy, which I admit, but I've yet to have a failure of any kind.

I simply field strip the gun and clean it after use. I currently train ever 3 months.

In regards to the guns that are in the safe or not is use, I oil the action and run a oily cloth down the barrel every 12 months or so.
