Clip Vs. Magazine: Don’t Waste Your Breath

Clip, magazine, who cares? I'm not gonna get bent over it. But there always seems to be that one guy who just can't stand using the wrong word and gets plumb twisted about it. :rolleyes:
When somebody calls a magazine a clip, I just think they're either a noobie or an idiot and let it go at that.

late last year, around T-Day, i was at the large LGS, BS'ing with a buddy of mine, and i saw this younger guy come towards us. i then get into a conversation with my buddy, that i was there to buy extra clips for my Glocks, and bullets as i was running low.

the guy passed by us, and shook his head at the nomenclature i was using.....

i nearly busted a gut at his reaction
 
Yesterday at a 4th of July party I ran into an old friend who in the time since I last saw him ( many years) has gotten into guns. He was showing me pictures of his new Sig Cross ( .308 ) with the Sig VDP scope and his suppressor which is still in jail. He showed me pictures of his Canik Mete and his G-Force box fed shotgun and various other pieces of crap he now owns. Several times he referred to magazines as clips. Remembering this thread I decided to just keep my mouth shut about it.
