Exactly. Biden has to step down or die to be removed from the ballot. The 25th amendment thing won't work, because there is no chance congress will vote for that to happen.

not to split and go down a rabbit hole
but i read a book by a delegate from years ago and it was revealing about how the primaries are appeasements and yes the convention can strike any name for the vote to be president, the key would be getting enough to win the majority of the delegates votes
they pledge to support the person with the most votes etc, but in end the pledge has no weight of law
the respective dnc and rnc pretty much make up their own rules
remember the convention when trump got the nomination, many violated that pledge?
no way want to argue, just briefly putting it out there,
in reality , i can see the the world freaking out if the dnc convention they pull that move and try to keep it under wraps until then.
iirc primaries started around 1910 or so.

i look at the sentencing on the 10th or 11 th of july

I have no idea who would replace him if a bows out, but my alternative scenario is that this was a set up from the dems. Biden would not come out forcefully and challenge Trump to two debates without influence from his handlers. If he has cognitive problems like we saw last night, he wouldn't have the initiative nor moxie to do it. The press acted shocked! shocked I say that he was such a basket case. Malarkey. They've known forever. This was the start of the pressure campaign to get him to quit. They know if he stays, they lose.
