If and when I retire that item is getting put away as a memento. What I really love about body armor is the manufacturer recommends replacement every 5 years. I just recently took a vest that was over 20 years old to the range and shot it and it did it's job and stopped all the rounds I sent into it. I think it's the company's way of selling more vests or something.

In just the 6 years since I bought mine the technology has made them thinner and lighter.
