Concealed Carry Corner: The Importance Of Magazines

OEM mags only on all my firearms which I disassemble, inspect, and clean along with the firearm(s) after each use. Have yet to experience any problems as I rotate my mags for uniform wear, having at least 5 for each firearm. Not saying it will never happen but, so far, so good.

Most of the time I carry one reload. If I'm out in the mountains two.

The only aftermarket magazines I trust are MecGar or Magpul. If MecGar made Glock magazines that's what I'd carry.

My range magazines for my Glock are Magpul. They get dropped at the range, they get kicked at the range, I'm fairly certain they've been stepped on at the range and I have yet to have one malfunction on me. The only thing I don't like about them is that they're not drop free like the Glock magazines are.

For carry guns the minimum is 15 magazines. There is no maximum it's as many as I can reasonably afford.

I rotate my carry magazines and ammunition once a year. I am fully aware that static load does not wear out magazines. I don't care, I want to switch them out every year so I do.
