Concealed Carry

I got my first carry license from PA. back in 2007 when I first learned that I could get an out of state license. I still couldn't carry in my own state of Illinois but I could carry in most states around me. That license came from Centre CO. , PA. while Sheriff Denny Nau was in office. Cost was around $20.00 and all done through the mail.

While I had the PA. license , I took the course and applied for a Utah carry license. That cost me a total of around $100.00 . That allowed me to carry through NM. on the way to AZ. I think it was two months after our trip through NM. that NM stopped honoring UT's carry license .

In Jan. 2014 I applied for my first carry license here in IL. When it came time to renew my PA license they had changed the requirement to having to appear in person to renew. So I didn't bother since I had the UT license. I did renew my UT license once but after getting the IL. license I didn't renew UT again.

Well got thru the class? Did find out that because i am a veteran if i send in a copy of dd214 I do not have to pay for the license and its good for 5 years instead of 4, what a deal! They say it takes 3 weeks from the time they receive paperwork to get it.
