Considering a Colt 1911 45acp Gold Cup Trophy...

Glad to hear Colt is getting better.
I have 2 Gold Cups. The difference is like night and day.
1979 Series 70 GC. This is a true target gun and shoots extremely well.
1996 Series 80 GC. Nothing more than a Government Model with adjustable sights. Still a good gun, but doesn't deserve the GC title.

Sorry, I haven’t been back for a while. Here’s my beauty.

That is nice! Good catch.
Thanks. It’s different than Bragah’s. This is like a standard 1911. They refer to it as “ Lite “. His has a wide mag well and knurling on the front and rear grip areas. Beautiful gun and machining. I’m just old school and like the 1911’s in their original style. They each have the National Match barrels and fire the same. Trying to find a bright SS Colt 1911 now to add to my collection. No luck so far. There are some phony sites out there offering to ship to your local dealer. Be aware people. Their sites look very real. Don’t buy online unless it’s with a credit card with buyer protection. If they want a Zelle payment, it’s very likely fake and your money will evaporate!
