I'm thinking this A/C is featured in the movie FAIL-SAFE. When I was a kid this was the model airplane to build that was the heat.

Yep, the “Vindicator”.

Great article, both for the information and for a forgotten memory of mine. As a 6 or 7 year old visiting my grandfather's home on Long Island NY the best part of the visit was searching the sky for delta winged aircraft creating sonic booms as they flew over. My dad told me they were made by nearby Grumman. Thanks.
