Cracked handguard anchoring plate

I have tried searching for either a replacement or some sort of guidance with this issue. I bought the saint victor 5.56 early October and while I was at the range today I noticed my handguard was loose. I looked torx screws that hold down the anchoring plate and they were hand loose. I also noticed a hairline fracture in one of the anchoring plates. I packed up everything up to go home and search for a solution to no avail. Is it possible to find a replacement for this item? Is it ok to replace that item? Any feedback is appreciated! TIA (The gun has never been dropped or hit with anything. It has about 700 rounds through it.)

Agreed don’t email call them and be ready to then send them a picture, they may send you one or want the gun to replace it themselves and check out for other issues.

Always call SA customer service. Their email systems are... lacking. But they always answer the phone.

Another member also over torqued there's and cracked it as well. You don't have to kill it tightening it down. If you are having trouble with it, they use blue lock tight on those screws.

Just an FYI ... During handguard replacement the manual states 40-45 inch pounds torque on the screws.

They are sending me a new anchor plate and screws so ill be cognizant of that when replacing. Also anyone have a time frame for when Springfield sends you a replacement part?

So after registering my new gun for warranty purposes I placed an order for two magazines. This was done on Sunday.
The order has shipped. Springfield is on top of things.

It usually ships that day when they email you. Typically arrives within 2-3 Business days.
