Thanks for posting the video, Onewolf. I found it really interesting. Incredible information. I worked on a lighting project back in 2015 where we were switching to LED’s. The power demand was so much less than the old incandescent that the existing regulator had to be stepped down (if I am remembering correctly) to only 5% of the power needed for incandescent.

Our entire house is about 98% LED. Since we moved in nine years ago we have only had to replace maybe four bulbs. LEDs cost more, but they outlast incandescent bulbs by a lot.

And don’t forget longevity. I was a regional engineer with responsibility for 10 large medical centers. We changed every single exit light over to LED’s just for the reduced maintenance alone.

Excellent video. I have been on the LED band wagon for years. I even switched my old mini mag flashlights in the 90s with MJLED bulbs, only mod was you had to drill a larger hole in the reflector. They were a lot brighter, and batteries lasted forever.

We are in the golden age of flashlights, that's for sure. I clicked on my old MagLite the other day and thought the batteries were old...nope, it is just the light is that dim compared to today's LED models.
