CZ-USA: The Best 9mm Service Pistol?

IN MY OPINION, THE SPRINGFIELD ARMORY XDM/ ELITE IS THE BEST SERVICE PISTOL IN THE WORLD !
The polymer platform that broke the mold is now built around the all-new META™ trigger for the ultimate performance in a striker-fired firearm. Further enhanced with removable magwell, increased capacity of 22+1 (20+1 with short maxwell models) and improved slide serrations, the new XD-M® Elite represents the pinnacle of full-size, polymer-framed pistol design.
Featuring the META™ (Match Enhanced Trigger Assembly) system, the XD-M Elite trigger sports a flat face, crisp break and integral overtravel stop that combine to deliver the best trigger in a factory polymer-framed pistol available on the market.
The XD-M® Elite has superior ergonomics, reliable performance, and features that make it easy and intuitive to use. Upgrades like an extended and flared magwell, ambi slide stop and enhanced slide serrations make the Elite a must-have option. It’s also got a whopping 22+1 capacity (20+1 with the “short” magwell).

What are you a ringer for Springfield or something, all your replies are in praise of Springfield, you don’t say anything positive about any other gun manufacturer, got some of us here wondering.....

I have both a used Belgium Police Trade in of the FN Browning Hi-Power (9mm), and a new CZ 75B (9MM). Both feel excellent to hold, and I though I once read the the CZ 75 was kind of a copy of the Browning Hi-Power (making it the son of the Hi-Power). The following link I found, states otherwise, and actually mentions that the Sig P210 would be thrown into the conversation as also being related to the Hi-Power if it was true that the CZ75B was. It was an interesting read, and I'm glad I have both handguns.

I always liked the Hi Power, never owned one, but shot a few, it’s supposed to be the improvement over the 1911, I love both, the Hi Power and the 1911.

FYI....H&K broke the mold on polymer pistols, they were the first to make them, then Glock came around and finished breaking the mold, then Springfield started importing the HS 2000 and brought the polymer pistol up a new level, also don’t forget the S&W M&P pistol line, they also brought the polymer pistol to different level.

I’ve got a couple High Powers; a silver chrome Mk2, and a massaged Mk3 I carried for a while. The 15rd MecGar mags are nice upgrades, and reliable. The Cylinder & Slide trigger is light years better than the standard, and getting rid of the mag safety makes it better.

I’ve also had a few CZ75’s, and clones; my first one of the early Springfield P9’s (rebranded Tanfoglio, later known as the Witness). Also had a couple if witnesses in various calibers...my last one was a CZ75B Omega. I liked it—an all-steel 9mm is like shooting a big .22–but I didn’t think the trigger was all that great.

I did shoot a buddy's Tactical Orange...that is a serious pistol, right up there with my USP Expert, imho. May have to pick one up some time, really get to know it.

I have no experience with Walther, did shoot neighbors Creed though.
I have three Walther pistols (well actually a 1941 Mauser built Walther P38), Walther P1 (P38 replica) and a Walther CCP M2 9mm. To date, I've only fired the CCP M2, and I had a lot of FTF and FTE malfunctions. In searches, I found this to be fairly common with this gun caused by using certain ammunition. I later learned the Blazer Brass 115gr which I was using, was one of the listed ammo this firearm doesn't respond well to. I will try some that posters listed as good and see how that works out. It's a same because the gun feels very good to handle, but with the malfunctions I experienced, I wouldn't trust it as my EDC unless it can run flawlessly with the ammunition that's in it. We shall see.

 FYI I KNOW THE HISTORY OF THE HK POLYMER Pistols and I have owned the HK VP70Z & THE HK P9S AND HK P7 -M-8 & THE HK P7 M-13. I also still own an old HS 2000 But in my opinion the Springfield Armory is still the best in all the World. The way I see it if you don't like or promote the Springfield Line They why are you here? go promote HK, Glock, AND SMITH & Wesson, Sig on their Forum? This is a forum for Springfield Armory Fire Arms owners and Fans of Springfield Armory. BESIDES WHAT PART OF IN MY OPINION DID YOU NOT UNDERSTAND ?

Forum states on the opening page “The Definitive Source for Firearms Enthusiasts”.... FWIW....I own several Springfield firearms, and this forum is not just for Springfield Armory owners and fans, you can discuss any firearm manufacturer here.....also I have been here since this forum started......you are just new and for some reason think that if you keep praising SA it will get you somewhere.

It’s good to have opinions.

Just don’t confuse them with facts.

From what I understand those guns run best with 147gr.

Since we are doing "opinions "here I am a big H&K fan. I have 5 H&K's and have NEVER had a failure of any kind with any one of them. I think the grip on the P30 series is better than any of the other polymer offerings. While not the best triggers they have a nice selection. I am a LEM fan. Although slightly more expensive you can feel the better quality. None of the polymers are going to match the trigger on a 1911 and CZ has ruled IPSIC for years for a reason. Someone mentioned the Sig P210. Again not in this class, far more accurate than most mentioned.

I'm with you.

Personally, I think the best polymer striker 9mm going right now is the VP9; the trigger is excellent, and the grip modularity can’t be matched. HK really upped the ante this year when released the new model with optics cutout and 17 round mags standard...and going forward, ALL VP9’s will come so equipped.

I need another VP9 (I’m at 4, currently) like I need a third nipple...but I know I’m going to get a new model, and fairly soon.

But, that’s just, like, my opinion, man.
