I feel your pain. I have a large magnet with a handle for that very purpose. Trouble is, if I get down on the floor to pick things up it takes a while to get back up. I am at the point that I check to be sure I have my phone in a pocket before I get on the floor. Don't worry, if you miss one you will find it later when barefoot.

Mrs. Tinyman had those (what she called them) picker-uppers. Got a bunch at the Dollar and a Quarter Tree and they are scattered all over the house & garage. Seems like wherever she dropped ANYTHING there is one handy.
