Remember them well. Dad owned a service station I worked at as a kid. Playing “find the gas cap” was an adventure in those days. On old VW’s you had to open the hood (trunk?) toget to the gas cap. While you were there, you’d add air to the spare tire, usuallyoverpressurizing it by 2.0 lbs or more, cause the air in the spare served to power the Windshield Wipers. When the wipers quit, you had a flat spare!
