When he was a franchise owner of Ben Franklin the rule was he had to only stock products provided by Butler Brothers and he wasn't allowed to set the prices. Both of these rules he ignored. He bought locally sourced products and his store made more profit. Eventually he opened Walton's five and dime in Bentonville.

I like Jeff, but to be fair, he claimed to have sat in with Jimmy James and the Blue Flames one time when their bassist didn't show. This would have been in the NY clubs before Hendrix was "Discovered" by Les Paul and Chas Chandler. Which is unconfirmed.
