this reminds me of a Chief back in the navy that had to stand command duty officer vice maintenance chief as he was a NON AVIATOR...
Command duty office had a perk, of a free room at the officers barracks/hotel on base. complete with free breakfast , cable, small fridge (stocked) and all that.
his favorite lines after his 24 hrs of hell on duty, during debrief was why did yall call me so much? i was in the shower...its my body and i will wash it as long and as often as i want .... room is out of soap
1st time i had debrief with him i could not stop laughing... after that i made sure i was in ear shot of him doing turnover with the NEW junior officers
