How many of you ever started your vehicle with this setup
Never had one like this of my own, but I started my grand daddy's many times when I was young.
During my younger days when many went with VW bus's, I had a friend who got a old 1950's panel truck. I think it was a GMC with 3 on the tree and still was 6v. I had a hand me down 1966 VW bug with 6v. The panel truck was what looked like painted with red spray cans. It was a great troop carrier to carry all of us kids. At that time in VA you had to be 15 yrs and 8 months to get a drivers license.Never had one like this of my own, but I started my grand daddy's many times when I was young.
I learned to drive in the field on a 2.5 ton International farm truck following Dad on the combine during harvest. I was small enough at first that I had to scoot forward on the seat to reach the starter button. I grew fast and by the time I was 13 I was driving loads to the grain elevator and back. All the tractors had starter buttons as well.
Bought an Army Surplus 1959 Chevy Apache Carryall with this setup in the mid 60's for $250. Used it to transport my band's equipment. Came with 2 easily removable rear bench seats and could carry 9 people when not loaded with equipment. Straight 6 cylinder, 3 speed manual transmission, heavy duty suspension, good tires with bead locks, and 75k miles on it. Had it repainted with the band's logo and added a stereo system. Had it for 7 years until the band broke up with over 200k trouble free miles on it, with normal maintenance, when I sold it to another band. One of the toughest vehicles I ever owned.

Local diner in town have them this big. If you order one to go, they put it in a pizza box.
