Deer camp damage from tornado

Well, got notified by my buddy who owns the property that camp area and surrounding properties had been hit by a tornado this last Tuesday in far NE Texas. Luckily no major structural damage to our cabin and other properties nearby. Wind pushed our cabin 3 feet back off the slab it was resting on . It was a prefab cabin that we had put a slab down under it to level it off. Lucky the water or elec lines didnt snap. We left some slack in them when we put it up.
Nat Weather Service declared it an F1
A ton of trees got snapped or blown over. The main power pole with transformer got snapped in half. Metal tin roofs go blown around on sheds, etc, and some property damage, but no loss of life and just a lot of clean up and minor repairs. Our property will take about 7 guys with chain saws to clear all the downed trees.

Made the best of it at camp this week end. Drank some beer, hung with buds, had some nice times and good to see friends.

I guess it could've been much worse. I'm happy there were no injuries. You are quite fortunate that one of those big trees didn't land on your cabin. Count your blessings. You've got some good friends.

I think that's about as good as one could hope from a tornado hit. Glad to see it.

Manufacturer of the prefab cabin is going to come and level it back out with equipment. Will cost a couple $$

None of the other camps/cabins/ neighbors have a tractor big enough to do the task. We all have the smaller tractors to do small camp jobs, grade the driveways, etc
