To be honest, I haven’t seen any model of the XD series in two-tone here lately at any of the gun shops I visit, just the regular all black version.

Maybe they're sticking to producing the "scary" ones (all black) just for manufacturing ease, to try and keep production numbers as high as possible right now? No idea if there's a production difference, or maybe just a part supply difference...
I haven't seen much of ANYthing in-stock at the LGS lately. Last one I saw was an FDE Hellcat...which I bought on sight, because it was there.
