Do you carry a revolver

Yes, I have and still sometimes do carry a revolver. I started out with revolvers, collect S&W revolvers and own a bunch of 'em. (y)
I have a S&W 642 that I carry quite often. Usually for quick trips and such.
My first legal carry gun was a Colt Detective Special. I still own it.
In my opinion, this is the perfect carry revolver. 3" S&W Model 13 .357 Magnum.
The K-size frame makes it easy to shoot well, The 3" barrel gives it better velocity and a longer site radius. And the whole package is very easy to carry and conceal well. (y)
When the wheelgun mood hits me, this is what I reach for and feel very well armed with it. ;)

My woods/truck gun is a S&W 629 3" barrel. I added a red dot optic last year. No issues hitting my 100 yard gong.

Had a chance to buy a used like new 629 Performance Center for $900 at a LGS, but I didn't have the funds at the time.:cry::cry:

I have a Model 69 Combat Magnum which also cost almost $900, but it was a impulse buy. What I really want is a N frame.
 
I’m curious what ya’ll do.
Way, way, way back when, my dad made me shoot a single shot .410 and .22 .
His reasoning was when you only have one shot, you’ll learn to make it count.
I feel the same way with my revolvers
I know I only have 6. The reload isnt as quick as a semi auto.
I slow down and make em count.

I need a Ruger GP100 snubby, Colt Python 3", and a S&W M627 or M629, and I'll think I'll be set on revolvers for what's left of my life.

Guns for shooting/ hunting is just like golf.
Ya can't play the game with just one club. 😁
 
I carry a S&W model 65 with 3 inch heavy barrel on occasion. This is the stainless version of the model 13, which I believe was the last revolver the FBI issued before transitioning to semi-autos.

Aaaah yes! The last time the FBI got something right ;)

The 3" K Frame, along with the Ruger Service/Speed series were just about the perfect combination of size, weight, carryability and shootability. My first off duty gun was a 2.75" Ruger Speed Six that I carried in an Bianchi upside down shoulder holster (later I carried as a backup gun the same way under my uniform shirt...but for a very short time).
 
I don't carry a revolver very often anymore, but when I do it's a Kimber 2" K6S DC (Deep Cover). The K6S is so much nicer than any Colt or S&W that I carried on duty for several years.

Ironically, I'm not a big fan of Kimber 1911s, but I've become a big fan of their revolvers.
